Lake Cruise and Nature Walk with Eco Wanaka Adventures

See the lake, on the island, on the lake !

Get picked up from the beach below Whare Kea Lodge and cruise for 35 mins by boat with Eco Wanaka Adventures to the magical Mou Waho Island Nature reserve.  The Island is a unique glacial remnant of the last ice age and is located near the middle of Lake Wanaka, surrounded by stunning alpine vistas.

Listen out for the lively bird-life as you enjoy the 40 minute guided walk on a well formed track that climbs steadily through native bush to the serene Arethusa Pool - the lake, on the island on the lake !!   For stunning 360 degree views of Lake Wanaka and the moutainous surrounds, head to the top - the perfect location for a cup of tea.  Keep your biscuits close, as the friendly (and somewhat checky!)  local weka are bound to join you.

Depending on the planting season, you can also help The Reforestation of Mou Waho by planting a tree.
